Sporty Chic – Day 22
The absolute hardest part of my blog is the picture part. It’s not even the standing alone in some cheesy pose wearing my latest outfit that’s the worst part — it’s the photographers. They are usually annoyed, often sticky and always short. They’re my children. And let’s face it, it’s so weird to have to take your mother’s picture every day. So weird. Like “they’ll definitely be in therapy for this one” weird. So I try to keep it simple. One picture with retakes only if my eyes are closed or I look like Chairman Mao.
But sometimes I just can’t ask Buck or Emerson to take my picture. They are either too tired or reading or I see their horrified wince as I approach with the camera — which leaves August, who is more than happy to be handed a piece of expensive camera equipment.

I really wanted to be all “fashion bloggy” and show off my criss cross sporty chic top (from Sports Authority!) in a lush natural setting. But here I am, with a three year old photographer, in front of a TGI Fridays with a trash can in the background.
I really do love the criss cross top though. And with their twelve ounce mojitos and free kid’s coloring books, I really do love TGI Fridays also…
